Hiking

Our walks are hosted by an experienced English-speaking mountain guide, who will help you enjoy the scenery at your own pace. Rila Monastery
The Rila Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage site nestled in the foothills of the Rila Mountains, some 120km from Borovets. This extraordinary site is a must-see for anyone interested in it's unique history and stunning location.

Plovdiv
Plovdiv is Bulgarias second largest city, and is located 120km East of Borovets on the Maritsa River. The city is steeped in history, being older than Rome, Athens, Carthage and Constantinople. Plovdiv has more than 200 known archeological sites, including the Roman amphitheatre built in the early 2nd century AD.
If you're thirsty after exploring, test the local beer at the nearby Kameniza brewery!

Bike Hire
From cautious beginners, to advanced enthusiasts looking for a challenge, the Rila Mountain range has routes to suit all. Route information and bike hire are available locally. however we recommend pre-booking bike hire due to limited availability in the resort.

Lake Iskar
There are a variety of water sports available from bases on the shores of Lake Iskar. Available activities include sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing, and water skiing. For a more tranquil experience, boating, pedaloes and fishing can also be enjoyed.
