Tremblant Resort Guide
Introduction To The Resort
Tremblant is Eastern Canada`s best known resort and has been since 1938. The first resort to open in Canada and the second in North America, it is located in the picturesque scenery of the Laurentian Mountains, an easy drive from Montreal.
Skiers and snowboarders are extremely well catered for in Tremblant, with intermediate and advanced levels particularly well catered for (see the Skill Levels section below).
However, there are still numerous beginners runs - including the dedicated beginners area 'Equilibre' - and highly regarded ski schools are available to develop your skills.
Whatever your skill level, the largest and most powerful snowmaking system in Canada (known as Avalanche) means you won't have an excuse for not being on the mountain!
Apres Ski
There are a good range of bars, many of which offer live entertainment in the evenings, and a vast range of restaurants offering some of the finest cuisine on offer at any ski area on the continent.
Winter Sports Activities
Tremblant is renowned for it's excellent skiing facilities, but there are a wide range of other Winter activities available;
- Snow Park: 18 acres of ramps, modules, jumps, music, and a super Olympic-calibre 130-metre long and 6-metre high half-pipe.
- Snowmobiling: Go off-piste and experience the Tremblant backcountry with the latest snowmobiles.
- Dogsledding: Drive your own team of dogs through forests, over snow-covered fields and frozen lakes.
- Snowshoeing: A perfect activity for families, a range of snowshoeing tours are available, including half-day, full-day, and evening trips.

Ski Skill Levels
| Beginners |
|
|
| With 29 green runs there is plenty to keep the beginner occupied. On the North Side, the aptly named 'Sissy-Schuss' delivers a pleasant journey on a wide trail through pine trees. The South Side has a dedicated beginners area (called Equilibre) and also the Nansen trail, which is the perfect beginners run, giving you that 'top of the world' feeling early on in your skiing career. | ||
| Intermediate |
|
|
| The choice expands quite rapidly once you’ve mastered the basics. For intermediates the easier blues are on the South Side, while the North Side has some tougher challenges. Franc Sud and Toboggan are challenging runs that allow intermediates a frightening glimpse of some advanced level Versant Soleil terrain. | ||
| Expert |
|
|
| Experts are challanged by The Edge and Versant Soleil areas. The Edge quad chair only serves expert/advanced trails, and only one trail is cut - other descents are through the trees. Versant Soleil is 80% expert, containing black and double-black runs through glades. | ||
